Description
In honor of my Uncle Jim, who's my father's brother, I designed this as a tattoo for my right ankle.
First image: Uncle Jim's artist mark. It's a key, because our last name is Mackey (get it?)
Second image: Galifreyan. JM for Jim Mackey. He reminded me of my Doctor, Tom Baker. They both had intense but kind eyes, a child-like belief that everything would be wonderful, a passion for life, and (I imagine for Tom Baker) the best hugs in the world. Uncle Jim was 6'5". His "M" has arms outstretched to envelop me, and one arm leading the way.
Third image: Galifreyan. KM for Christa Mackey (there's no "C" in Galifreyan, so because it sounds like a "K" it *is* a "K"). My "M" shows arms outstretched and one arm following.
Final image: My artist mark. It's based on Uncle Jim's and I've used it since I was about 10 when he told me what it was. "Always sign your work," he said. "Sign on the bottom right."
In 2013, I was in a car accident that caused severe damage to my right ankle. I had to have surgery to fix it and there's now a nasty scar. I want to use this tattoo to cover that scar....because "always sign your work on the bottom right..." #RIPUncleJimmy

Sorry for your loss. That's a pretty darn cool tattoo though.
